Brummell for Merchants
Sell more of the outfit, return less of it.
Brummell pairs your catalog with a closet a shopper already has, right on your PDP. More units per order and fewer duplicate-purchase returns, measured with a real holdout, not a projection.
Built for apparel merchants on Shopify with 500 or more SKUs. If you sell fewer than 100 products, Brummell will not have enough catalog depth to pair against.

How it works
01
Catalog enrichment
Brummell reads your product catalog and tags each piece by category, fabric, and fit.
02
Outfit graph
Your catalog is mapped against real closet items, so pairings reflect what shoppers already own.
03
Recommendation surfaces
Pairings surface on the PDP and post-purchase, styled to your store, not a generic widget.

Methodology
Measured against a real holdout
Every visitor is assigned to an arm once, exposed or held out, and stays in that arm on every return visit. For a held-out shopper the placement code skips rendering entirely. It is not logged as a control impression after the fact.
The holdout share is calculated from your own store's baseline conversion rate and a 95% confidence target, not a fixed percentage. In practice it stays between 5 and 20 percent of traffic.
A refund webhook tracks the 30-day return rate separately for each arm. A placement that drives orders which come back is not driving the lift a gross revenue view would show.

What a pilot involves
- Duration
- Six weeks minimum, long enough to reach significance on your traffic.
- You provide
- Shopify admin access, and a theme you are willing to publish an app block to.
- We provide
- Catalog enrichment, every placement, the holdout, and a weekly readout.
- Cost
- Nothing during the pilot.
- Exit
- Uninstall from the Shopify admin. Placements disappear with the app block. No code is left behind in your theme.
More of the outfit, per order
Shoppers add the rest of the outfit, not just the one item they came for.
Fewer duplicate-purchase returns
The optional return guard flags when a shopper already owns something close, before they buy a second one.
Measured lift, not a projection
A holdout group never sees the widget, so the lift you see is a real, isolated number, not a modeled estimate.
Zero theme risk
Installs as an app block through the Theme Editor. No code, no risk to your existing storefront.
