What Brummell will not do

  • Score your clothes.
  • Call a gap a flaw. It is named as an absence: something your wardrobe does not have yet.

When do I get access?
Now. Tap Try the beta on iPhone. It installs through TestFlight, Apple's app for betas, and it is free.
Is Brummell only on iPhone?
Right now, yes. If that changes we will say so here.
What does it cost?
Brummell is free: daily outfits from your own wardrobe, the occasion filter, wardrobe gaps, cost per wear, the Lookbook and your circle. Brummell+ adds the week and month ahead, your full Style Radar and Trend Fit Score, all-time history, 60 Studio shots a month for Beautify and Try-On (3 on Free) and higher limits, at $6.99 a month or $49.99 a year, with a 14-day free trial through the App Store.

Your wardrobe

Do I have to photograph everything?
No. Suggestions start before you add anything. Then add pieces your way: one photo of today's outfit, the photos already on your camera roll, or forwarded order emails. A few pieces are enough to make it yours.
Can I add clothes from my order emails?
Yes. The quickest way: let Claude, with your Gmail connected, find your past clothing orders and forward them to add@brummell.tech for you. It works on the free Claude plan. How to do it with Claude. Or forward order confirmations yourself from the address you use for Brummell (how to forward in bulk). Either way the pieces wait in the app for a quick look.
Is Brummell for women or men?
Both. When you start you pick what you shop for, women's, men's or both, and suggestions, trends and the Lookbook follow that choice. Suits stay paired as suits. You can change it any time in your profile.
Does Brummell sell me clothes?
No. Brummell checks pieces you are considering against what you already own and names what is missing from your wardrobe. The pieces you own that do the same job are always shown first. Ranking never changes for a merchant, and where a link earns Brummell an affiliate commission, it says so.
Is Brummell a shopping app?
Brummell is built around the clothes you already own. Shopping and the Lookbook are there when you want them, but the app never pushes a purchase to make itself useful.
Does Brummell want me to buy more?
No. Brummell would rather you bought one piece you wear forty times than three you send back. Ranking never changes for a store, and where a link earns Brummell a commission, it says so. A store check is a count, how many outfits the piece makes with what you own, never a verdict. A gap in your wardrobe is named as an absence, with what you already own that does the job shown first.

Privacy

Is my wardrobe private?
Yes, by default. Nothing you own is shown to anyone unless you post a Look to the Lookbook or share your wardrobe with your circle. Brummell reads the clothes in your photos, never identifies people or builds face data, and we never sell your data. Read the full privacy policy.
Who sees my Lookbook posts?
Posting is always your choice. Each time you post you pick who it is shown to, and whether to show yourself wearing it. You can make your profile private, and check how it looks to others at any time. Your Style Radar stays private unless you turn on Show my style radar; then your profile shows its shape, never what it is built from.

Lookbook and circle

What is a circle?
A small group of friends you invite by link. Share your wardrobe with them, style outfits for each other, and ask them which one to wear. Only your circle sees what you share with it.
Are the people in the Looks real?
Brummell's own Looks use house models, generated with AI and dressed with Try-On, so you can see how pieces work on a person. Looks from members are their own.
